Tyshawn Dues Gains Early College Interest

Charleston, West Virginia native – Tyshawn Dues is one of the most intriguing prospects in the mountain state. In 2019, Tyshawn became one of the few 8th graders to be invited to the Appalachia Prep Combine, finishing in the top 5 in the coveted underclassmen rankings. He possesses good length, route running, speed, and agility. This season, Dues has made huge contributions to the George Washington football team as a freshman wide receiver and defensive back. The Patriots are currently 3 and 1 playing in the SSAC Class AAA Division. Dues has tallied a couple hundred yards and 4 TDs.

College interest has come in early for Dues, including an HBCU offer from West Virginia State University. Dues has an upcoming unofficial visit scheduled with the Mountaineers. The college attention came after an impressive summer camp circuit that featured appearances at WVU, Ohio State, VT, Marshall, App State and more. Dues stated, “My camp experience was good. It was my first year going to different states and colleges.” Currently, Dues top three schools are Oregon, Clemson, and WVU.

At 5’10, 160lbs dues models his game after his favorite NFL athlete – D.J. Metcalf. He plans to major in Mathematics in college. His current GPA is 3.0. Dues believes his main strengths as a recruit are his unselfishness and leadership ability. His personal goals for this season are to accumulate at least 600 yards and 7 TDs.
